QUALIFICATIONS:

Our ideal candidate...

Is a humble, mature believer of good character who fulfills the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1 & 1 Peter 5;

Is deeply in love with the Lord, a man of faith dependent upon God and devoted to prayer;

Has a humble, sincere spirit and proper motives in his ministry;

Is an experienced leader with no less than 5 years in ministry leadership, preferably in a church over 750 in weekly attendance;

Has the mindset and abilities required to oversee the ministry, serving as a shepherd and discipler, to help our Worship Staff and lay teams mature in their spiritual growth;

Is a proficient vocalist and instrumentalist, with keyboard and guitar preferred;

Has experience in a wide range of musical styles, as well as the ability to expand our song catalogue with a blend of worship and praise music;

Is able to provide vision, delegate, oversee responsibilities and clearly express his expectations with grace;

Has strong interpersonal skills across generations;

Has earned an undergraduate music degree, with graduate education preferred;

Is in full agreement with and is doctrinally aligned with the Grace Church Statement of Faith


EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSBILITIES:

Will work with the Pastors to develop and plan the worship services;

Will work alongside the Associate Musical Director in administration, scheduling, planning services, overall calendar, running rehearsals and developing teams;

Will shepherd and nurture unity and teamwork with our Worship Staff;

Will be able to teach and instruct, especially in developing musical and vocal skills, in leading both instrumental and vocal rehearsals, and in encouraging the congregation in worship;

Will be able to recruit, train and develop teams and volunteers, and be capable at working in a team setting in order to build consensus and relational affinity;

Will be proficient in arranging and charting for a worship band setting and have ability in small scale orchestration; some experience in conducting would be a bonus;

Will have an understanding of the technical aspects of worship, with experience desirable, and will work with the tech team in regard to all services;

Will be willing and eager to assist and support other ministries as necessary
