Job Description:
Christ Temple Christian Life Center in beautiful West Louisville, Kentucky is an innovative & thriving church, with an Urban & Global Missions focus. The congregation has a vibrant heart for worship, which embraces a combination of gospel, & contemporary praise and worship styles. The leadership is searching for a full time Minister of Music to develope, enhance, organize, train, and implement all components of Christ Temple Christian Life Center's music ministry.

Our Candidate will be:
A person who:
# Has a passion for Christ, His word & people; demonstrates a daily pursuit of a Christ-centered life.
# Has five plus (5+) years of experience as a Minister of Music; able to demonstrate effectiveness in developing and implementing God given vision.
# Has experience in developing music departments including: musicians, bands, instrumentalists, vocalists and volunteers.
# Collaborates and partners with other ministries in the congregation; works effectively as both a team leader and team member.

A person who:
# is a Spirit filled believer called by God into full-time vocational worship ministry;
# exhibits and maintains a Christ-like, Biblical character in every aspect of life;
# displays a vibrant spiritually mature personal life of worship;
# is a student of worship & demonstrates a missional vision & philosophy of worship and its expressions;
# develops people and works well in teams;
# demonstrates a shepherd's heart;
# communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing


Music:
Must be respected as a gifted musician, able to lead or oversee music/vocal instructions, lead or oversee a team of gifted musicians, lead and oversee vocal teams in a blended style of worship, lead and oversee a team of media/sound/lighting technicians to create an effective and dynamic worship ministry.


Administration
Must possess strong administrative and communication skills, organize services, plan, set goals, promote events, organize leadership development, and works well within the church leadership structure.

Education:
# Prefer Biblically-based education through college or seminary.
# Proven track record in Christian ministry, preferably in Music Ministry.

Work Environment and Time Requirements:
# Requires minimum of 40 hours per week (not including Sundays).
# Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and qualifications. $35,000 - $50,000
