Job Description:
Requirements: A positive team player who can conduct a variety of Christian music, who is experienced working with church choirs in a socially progressive environment, and who can play piano. Skills: strong vocal technique, choral conducting; good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. BA or MA in music with studies with proven experience in the field working with a variety of people and skill levels.

Primary responsibilities:
1. Conducts and leads our Worship Choir.
2. Plans with the Pastor and leads music for special services and events.
3. Helps to develop more instrumental musicians within the church.
4. Develops a kids' choir or children's music offerings.

Time Commitments: This is a ¼ time position, set at under 10 hours/ week.
Community worship is Sunday mornings, from 10:00-11:00 AM.
Choir rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00 PM.
We may develop a second Sunday morning "prime time" worship service.
Once a month, the music director meets with the Pastor for worship music planning.

Included in this base contract are two Christmas Eve worship services and one additional Holy Week worship service (Holy Thursday or Good Friday).

Terms of employment:
This is a ¼ part-time position year-round with four weeks paid time off per year.
There are no health benefits included. Compensation is according to AGO standards.
