This full time salaried position will report to the Programming Director. This position will direct and oversee the music of the weekend experience and special church-wide events. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passionate relationship with God, will be gifted musically and have experience rehearsing and directing bands and vocalists. In other words, you know how to change a kick pattern to fix a groove and coach singers to worship with abandon. Think about the time your band was practicing in your studio not your time in the high school choir. You like the musings of Future of Forestry, Coldplay, Muse and Mute Math over the chorus guitar pedals of Boston or Toto—but hey, you still respect the past. The next best band is not only currently on your iPod, but you've moved on to the next-next great band. If you get really excited about debating music styles in church you probably shouldn't apply. Experience managing people, building and leading teams is required. Experience in charting (not orchestrations) is necessary.



Responsibilities


# Lead and supervise staff, volunteer music team members and leaders.
# Work with staff as directed to develop musical artists and worship leaders.
# Lead and facilitate volunteer music team growth.
# Work with staff to develop original worship music and other creative recordings (yes, yes we have a kick butt studio).
# Participate in programming weekend experience and other church-wide events.
# Other staff duties as required by programming leadership.
